Sony has launched Alpha A7 and Alpha A7R camera

Sony Officially announced the release of the two new , Alpha A7 and Alpha A7R full-frame compact system cameras.


Sony A7 camera comes with a 24.3 MP Exmor CMOS sensor which features Fast Hybrid AF,, which is said to combine both quick phase detection with accurate contrast detection autofocus.The camera also works with Sony’s full-frame interchangeable E-mount lenses, and there’s also a new mount adapter for using the camera with full-frame A-mount lenses.

The A7R however, is a little more advanced, featuring a 16.4 megapixel sensor and no optical low-pass filter, it features something Sony call “gapless on-chip” lenses, which they say eliminate gaps between sensor nodes on the surface for increased light collection efficiency high-resolution, sensitivity and noise reduction.

There’s also a Bionz X processor fitted in the camera, and the A7R can also record Full HD video at 60p/25p and it also features Fast Intelligent AF, as well as Wi-Fi and NFC technology.

The A7R has also been claimed to be the world’s smallest interchangeable lens camera.

Both cameras will be available to purchase from mid to late November, however sony no sound about the price.
